ReSPACEd, based in Portland, Oregon, was founded by MaryJo Monroe. It melds strong organizing principles with innovative design concepts to bring form and function into the spaces of Portland-metro homes.

With seven years of design experience, MaryJo knows how to make a home feel bright, spacious and warm. She specializes in working with moms and children, helping to tame the chaos at home by weeding through the toy clutter and finding space-saving, accessible storage solutions. She also works in residential organizing, staging to sell and interior redesign (design using the client’s furniture and accessories).

ReSPACEd advocates green design principles, starting by using supplies that the client already owns and keeping new purchases to a minimum. Whenever possible, reSPACEd advocates recycling or donating items instead of throwing them away. The use of plastic organizing products is avoided when practical.

MaryJo is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), the National Study Group on the Chronically Disorganized (NSGCD), the Power MOB (Mother-Owned Businesses) and MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). She lives in North Portland with her husband and 5-year-old son.
